Attic Insulation Removal
Take the bad insulation out before you add more
South Florida attics stay hot and often get wet. Insulation that is soaked, flattened, or contaminated should come out. Blowing new material on top of that does not fix it.
We vacuum old attic insulation out through a hose and collect it outside the home. When the attic is clear, blown-in attic insulation can go back in. It is also the right time to look at attic ductwork and book AC duct replacement if a run is damaged.

Do I have to replace the insulation after removal?
An empty attic lets a lot of heat into the house. Most customers add blown-in attic insulation on the same project or right after.
Will this make a mess in the house?
It should not. We protect the attic access and collect the insulation outside.
How long does removal take?
Many homes are done in a day. A large or heavily contaminated attic takes longer.
Is this the same as air duct cleaning?
No. Attic insulation removal takes out the material on the attic floor. Air duct cleaning cleans the ducts that run through that attic.
