• Purify Air Duct Cleaning
Dryer vent cleaning is a different job from air duct cleaning, and it is priced that way. Angi’s 2026 project data puts the national average around $145, with most homeowners paying about $104 to $188. A short first-floor wall vent sits at the low end. A roof cap, a second-floor run, or a vent packed solid costs more because of the access and the time.
Those are national figures, not a Purify price. The quote follows the vent you actually have.
What changes the price
- Where it ends. A sidewall hood on the first floor is the simple job. A roof termination means ladder or roof access, and Angi puts typical roof vents around $150 to $250.
- How long the run is, and how many elbows it has. Lint packs the bends first. A long line takes longer to brush.
- The building. A house in Davie or Coral Springs is usually a single run to an outside wall. A condo in Aventura, Sunny Isles Beach, or Hallandale Beach may have a long riser, a roof cap, and building rules about when we can work.
- How clogged it is. A yearly cleaning of a clear-ish line is faster than a vent that has not been touched in several years.
- Whether cleaning is enough. A crushed hose, a foil or vinyl transition, or a line with no real exterior cap needs dryer vent installation. Brushing will not straighten a kinked vent.
A shared laundry room is commercial dryer vent cleaning, quoted by the number of vents and the access the association can give us.
What the price should include
The lint screen in the dryer door is not the vent. A proper cleaning covers the transition behind the dryer, the in-wall or ceiling run, and the exterior cap we can reach, then a check that air is actually leaving. Brushing only the first foot of hose leaves the blockage in place.
Ask whether the cap is included before you book. A price that stops at the laundry room is not a full vent cleaning.
Why this is not an air duct price
Supply and return ducts move cooled air through the home. The dryer vent moves hot, lint-filled air out of the building. They do not connect. Air duct cleaning cost is based on air handlers and room vents. Dryer vent cleaning cost is based on one exhaust line. Many customers book both on the same visit, and each one is listed on its own.
Why people book it every year
The U.S. Fire Administration reports that failure to clean is the leading factor in home clothes dryer fires. A vent that cannot exhaust also means long cycles, a hot laundry room, and extra wear on the dryer. Once a year is a reasonable habit for a typical household. Book sooner if clothes need a second cycle, the exterior flap stays shut, or you smell something hot. Those signs are covered in signs your dryer vent is clogged.
